Police in Newry received a report of an assault of a man at Kiln Street in the early hours of Wednesday 20th November.
A report was received shortly after 1.20am that a man, aged in his 60’s, had been attacked by an unknown male and had sustained serious facial injuries requiring hospital treatment.
Enquiries are ongoing and officers would ask anyone with any information, or who was in the area and captured dash-cam or CCTV footage which could assist with their investigation, to contact them at Ardmore on 101, quoting reference number 49 20/11/24.
