BELFAST, JUNE 2, 2025 — Carly Wilson, a 23-year-old student from Rathfriland, has been crowned Miss Northern Ireland 2025 at a dazzling black-tie event held at the Europa Hotel in Belfast on Monday evening.

Beating out 25 other accomplished finalists, Carly impressed the panel of judges with her poise, intelligence, and charisma, earning her the coveted title and stepping into the shoes of outgoing winner, Hannah Johns.
The glittering finale, hosted by beloved radio presenter Rebecca McKinney and local comedian Aaron Butler, was a night to remember—bringing together glamour, celebration, and empowerment in front of a lively and stylish audience.

Speaking after the announcement, Victoria McElveen, contest organiser and Managing Director of ACA Models, praised the newly crowned queen:

Carly herself was overwhelmed with emotion as she accepted the title:
“I am absolutely delighted to wear the Miss Northern Ireland crown and be given the opportunity to represent Northern Ireland in this way! Taking part in the contest has been such an immense experience and I never thought I would come this far. I’ve always looked up to previous Miss Northern Ireland winners, so I hope to follow in their footsteps and become a positive role model for other local girls. The competition has already been such a life-changing experience, and I have made friends for life. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for me!”

Outgoing titleholder Hannah Johns also shared an emotional farewell:
“I’ve had an incredible year as Miss Northern Ireland. It’s been a real honour fulfilling this role and I’ve gained so much from my experience. It’s with a heavy heart that I relinquish my crown, but I am so happy to be passing it to Carly, who is such a deserving winner, and beautiful inside and out. I wish her all the very best for her year as Miss Northern Ireland 2025 and I am so excited to follow her journey.”
