
The Irish National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau together with the Drugs Unit in Waterford have seized 152kgs of cocaine – valued at €10.6m that was discovered during an operation yesterday.

These operations included the interception of a heavy goods vehicle on the M9 in County Kilkenny shortly after 10am and searches of two business premises and a residential address in Waterford.

One male was arrested and is currently detained for questioning at a Garda Station in the Eastern Region.
The operation was supported by Revenue Customs Service, the Garda Dog Unit and the Garda Stolen Motor Vehicle Investigation Unit.
