A goal in each half from Michael Walker (27 mins) and Corey Loughran (60 mins) was enough to see the Abbey lads go home with the points on offer in an exciting first round game.

Conall McGeough top scored for the home side, scoring 0-6 with one of his points coming from a first half free. Ronan Martin (0-5) and Eoin Kane (1-2 2f) were best on the day for the visitors.
